This is a pre-dawn picture of the back garden after a 4 inch fall of snow. It looks rather moody in this light! I think the snow theme could continue for a while longer, if the weather forecast is to be believed.
Would you buy this car? Somehow the effect of ice and snow makes it look quite decrepit. The ice was really quite challenging to remove from the car, and I managed to slip and fall twice on some lethal black ice on the drive. Luckily no lasting damage done! I love the rosy glow of the rising sun on the houses in this picture.
Yesterday we finished tidying the bookcase in the lounge. We have taken out a phenomenal number of books, and filled Jenny's room with boxes and bags! The books still lying on the front of the shelves are destined for another site, when it has been sorted and tidied. I feel very proud!
It snowed quite a lot here today and looked very pretty! Later in the day it snowed more, so we kept our trips local and walkable. In the afternoon we expended a surprising amount of energy clearing the drive of snow. Of course, during the night it snowed again! (but not much)
This is a picture of the mantel piece in the living room, with the Christmas candles all lit. I had meant to take a picture of the Yorkshire contingent of the family, who visited us today, but forgot! By the time I took this picture, we had got the house straight again and were ready to relax.
